The Historic Centre of Lima, gathers, most of the cultural and historical richness of the city, however during years it has been affected by many degradation processes that threaten the conservation of cultural historical legacy that this centre has. The contemporary architectural interventions, such as remodeled and new building type, are tools that could enable the linking between the Historical centre and the contemporary city, meeting the current and future needs and requirements, allowing the regeneration and permanence of the Historic Centre of Lima. The main subject of this research is to identify the minimum factors required for the design of contemporary architectural interventions of quality, specially remodeled and new buildingtype in the Historic Centre of Lima.
